Hi Y'all,

For those of you who don't know me my name is Monica Faye Smith. I am a warrior for Christ. I grew up in a small town called McDonough, and then it grew into one of the fastest growing cities in the world. I'm 21 years old and loving every minute of it. God has called me to ministry, he made it pretty obvious but I haven't always listened. I grew up in church, and it just stuck. I now lead a youth praise team, coach upward soccer, and sing in a group called Blessed, while working in other ministries at three local Methodist churches it keeps me busy. I just have such a passion for working with youth and kids, so it's worth it to see the change in there lives through Christ.

 I told my mom when I graduated that God had something more for me out there but to do it I would have to leave this world I know behind and go to other places. I was in tears when I told her this because I realized she already knew what I was going to say. I said that God had put missions on my heart and I didn't know how soon but I would have to go where he sends me. She told me the one thing that has gotten me to where I am today, she said "I knew that this day would come, your father and I both knew from the time you were born you were ours to raise, but God's to follow" after this we continued to talk and she told me it breaks her heart to let me go but she knew she had to.

My life here in Georgia seems to be nonstop. I'm always going somewhere or doing something. I love that because I'm always going to do something with the youth kids or I am always doing something to praise and worship the Lord. Christ is just so amazing; I can't wait to share that with someone who I hope can see his love through me. He's given me a great gift to overcome all things put in my way and I'm still here saying to him "SEND ME I'LL GO!" and that is what I plan to do is to go and do his work.
